MaxiDive completed a CRMS Bio-Fouling Inspection and Cleaning operation at Laem Chabang Port, Thailand, supporting vessel biofouling compliance through underwater inspection, targeted cleaning and structured visual documentation.
The operation was carried out on a large commercial vessel alongside port facilities, where access, timing and safety coordination are essential. The MaxiDive diving team performed the underwater work using hydraulic tools, hand tools, TG-7 cleaning equipment and GoPro-based photo/video documentation to record the inspected and cleaned areas.

CRMS Bio-Fouling Inspection and Cleaning scope
The scope of work included underwater inspection and cleaning of selected hull and niche areas in accordance with CRMS biofouling requirements. The inspection focused on documenting the vessel’s underwater condition, identifying marine growth, supporting cleaning where required, and providing clear visual records for operational and compliance review.
Biofouling control is an important part of vessel management, especially for vessels operating internationally or preparing for ports with strict marine growth requirements. Even when a vessel is structurally sound, slime layer, weed, shell growth or early-stage fouling can develop around hull surfaces, appendages, sea chest areas, discharge openings and propeller-related zones. These areas require careful inspection because they are often more difficult to access and can retain marine organisms longer than flat hull surfaces.
