In-Water Survey LNG Tanker Thailand – Project Overview
MaxiDive successfully completed an in-water survey (UWILD) on an LNG tanker under the Thai flag, with live inspection footage transmitted in real time to representatives of the Thai Marine Department.

In-Water Survey LNG Tanker Thailand – Key Findings
The inspection covered the full underwater hull including bow, flat bottom, bilge areas, propeller, rudder, and sea chests.
Key observations:
No structural damage or contact deformation detected
Hull coating condition generally good (≈80% remaining)
Soft marine growth up to 95% coverage
Hard marine growth (barnacles, oysters) up to 30–100 mm
Sacrificial anodes active but significantly depleted (50–95%)
Propeller and rudder in good condition with no major damage
These findings highlight the importance of timely maintenance supported by services such as Hull Cleaning Services, which help remove marine growth, restore hull performance, and prevent increased fuel consumption and operational inefficiencies.

In-Water Survey LNG Tanker Thailand – Inspection Process
The inspection included:
Bow and bulbous bow assessment
Hull surface condition analysis
Bilge keel and flat bottom inspection
Propeller and rudder detailed examination
Sea chest and rope guard inspection
All findings were verified in real time via CCTV transmission as part of our UWILD Inspection.
